totes magotes!
so listen: i love totes. i don't really like fancy purses. and these etsy totes are BOSS. i love fieldguided..she's a canadian gal like me ;) and how great is the star explosion one? terrific. i got a GIANT bon iver tote at the show in new york on friday, and i'm using it evvvvvvvvvvvvery day. the best, y'all! check these out!

seeing stripes
i've always had a soft spot for the Hudson's Bay Company.
after graduating high school i worked at the flagship store in downtown Winnipeg, which was opened in 1881 and was the first of it's kind in all of Canada. i felt very privileged to see "behind the scenes" of such a historical landmark! not to mention all of the interesting people i met along the way. one man had been selling suits there for 50 years! but i digress...
in the last few years the company has jumped back as the place to shop. they've also developed a line of HBC products ranging from travel mugs to sweaters and full-out canoes! i recently aquired a striped cardigan (on sale, obviously, as it was originally 150 dollars...) my dream is to own an HBC point blanket (SO CLASSIC!). i'm keeping my eye out! here are 5 HBC etsy finds:

the original "pin"
i can't say that i've joined pinterest...my fear is too great that i'll get swept up in the monsterous amount of other peoples creative and inspiring photos and ideas and become a pinning machine instead of coming up with my own creative content for ladylikeness. wow, that was a pretty personal confession. anywho, this is what i call "the original pin" -- they're the ones that go upon the breast of a coat or blouse or dress. check out these 5 awesome etsy finds...look at me, i'm pinning!
