HELLO 2013!

 my gals and i are crazy. first off, they both wore lace shirts for their new years' outfit, but one was white and one was black. then we posed a bit. yeah, we're pretty fun. :) i thrifted my dress from VV and i'm pretty sure it's donna karen or something? FANCYYYYYY. (sorry for the photos...my friend's house is lacking in the good photography lighting department.)

making resolutions is hard enough without making them public. there's always the feeling that if you stop following through, you will have shown the world your hopes and subsequently, your failures. you know how it goes -- making a few resolutions, then letting them fade by mid to late-january.  it really is the same every year. i have no idea if my resolutions -- or, you know, regular ol' GOALS, will keep up, but i want to talk about them, and i want to TRY.  a few are personal, and a few are sure things, but thinking about all of them makes me feel positive and happy for the future. that is resolutions/goals/dreams are for, don't you think?

i have a few goals in mind for the new year that i want to share, and i'm not even going to include going to the gym a set number of times a week. we all know that probably will not happen. here are a few that i'm thinking on:

1. set up a home studio for ladylikeness thrift & vintage
2. practice self-calming
3. shop for myself only in thrift stores (except for items that involve my nether regions, ...and possible a brand new pair of summer/spring/fall-appropriate ankle booties, but i'm going to wait until those seasons are closer)
4. practice mindfulness
5. continue taking pictures and learning more about my camera
6. talking and actually saying what i mean

what are some of your goals for this beautiful new year?
